A wonderful couple hours spent getting to know Meghan, a fellow Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) patient, in beautifully historic Annapolis. She was diagnosed at age 27. She was diagnosed with FAP and colon cancer at the same age my dad was. And, they both were the first one’s in their families to be diagnosed with FAP. Almost immediately after she had a j-pouch surgery to remove her colon and rectum, she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. At the same time, her husband was being deployed to Afghanistan. She truly is an incredible woman. Annnnd seated on the DXR beast would be Grady. Meghan is this handsome little guy’s nanny. Thank you Grrrady for being so patient with us. You definitely are a cute little napper. Meghan has quite the story to tell, I cannot wait to read it. Thank you so much for meeting with me and participating in the FACEiT Project/500UNDER50BEFORE50. Truly truly means the world to me. Stay tuned for Meghan’s story >>>
